But in return, it takes individuals to encourage them to participate, she said. Kerner is involved in the Speech club, Interact, and The Model United Nations Team. Kerner has served on Student Council for four years, three years as vice president. Kerner was elected as Homecoming Queen last October and as Miss McCul- lough in February. Kerner said she ap- preciates all the support during her four years at McCullough. l've grown so much from the involvement and com- raderie, she said. Kerner has applied to a variety of Ivy League schools and plans to study gov- ernment. if I. tf,, 4 1, 4..4 .Y 5 1 -Wt t QI ' 3 W, kxxxi V, A . ,X It , , ,A 'V' 313 7 tl 3 54,45 wwf x Wx

Senior or Don Gutierrez, tenacity, diligence and organization are an everyday part of life. But those are just a few of the things that you need in order to be a good senior class president. This class is a big part of my life. lt has made me feel like a big part of McCullough and it is hard to think about having to leave, he said. I've put a lot of hard work into meeting new people, students, and teachers, and loved every minute of it. Gutierrez's goal for this year was to make the class of 1988 an example of how great a class can be. Along with being active in Student Council, Gutierrez is involved in industrial arts and is layout artist for the newspaper. Gutierrez was an astronaut for the Project Space Station. We worked months to simulate a real space station, he said. lt was great to see all aspects of the school work together. After graduation, Gutierrez plans to attend the Art Institute of Houston and study com- mercial art. l Wetzel, William Whalen, Michael fWhite, Kristin White, Laura Whitehead, Mikki Whitemire, Clay Wiechkoske, Lisa Wight, Ron Williams, Keir Williams, Marlena Williams, Shar ' Willson, Debbie Willson, Molly Willett, Michael
