WEEkENDs ave you ever noticed that 90? of a teenager's conversation refers ei- ther to what he did last weekend or what he is going to do this weekend? When you really think about it, weekdays only serve as a time to recover from the past weekend's adventures and to make plans for the upcoming one. The weekend officially begins at 2:35 pm. on Friday afternoon and doesn't end until 7:35 a.m. Monday morning. Even Sunny Smiley and Miranda Cassidy cruise The Woodlands in search of the ultimate party. Kenny Lott prepares for the big party. 12 Lgv though we all hate Mondays, it gives us a chance to talk about the fantastic time we had the few days before. So what are you going to do? At the beginning of the year if you didn't have anything better to do you could go to a football game. But now what? How about watching a swim meet or a soccer game? Everyone has his own version of a fun weekend. If you don't have to work, or to write that research paper you waited until . -gk 3436. ist it Q Xp NSA the last minute to do, you can usually fir plenty of parties to grace with your pre ence. If you are not the party type, yc have your choice of watching a movi clubbing, hanging out, or doing just abo anything. What l'm trying to say is that it real doesn't matter what you do on the wee ends or who you do it with. What matte is that you have fun doing it. the U E court l omecoming night is a time for ex- citement and anticipationg a chance y to see old friends who have been rway at college and to find out who the next Homecoming Queen will be. The football team played Kingwood and lt halftime the Homecoming Queen and her court were announced! The Ladies-in-waiting were freshman - Shelly Paxton, sophomore - Keri Kimler, and junior - Chris Brookshier. The Duch- ess' were Jill Adams and Colleen lvleehan, The princess was Tara Butterworth. Nicole Kerner was named 1987-1988 :Qs .1 Homecoming Queen. Last Year's queen presented Nicole with her crown. To top a very special night off, the McCullough Highlanders defeated Kingwood with a come-from-behind vice tory. Shelley Paxton is escorted by her father in the half-time ceremonies. Keri Kimler, is happy to be Sophomore l.ady-ln- Waiting. 1986 Homecoming Queen, Tanya Wagner, helps Nicole Kerner with her sash after Kerner is crowned Homecoming Queen, Sliilmitgw
