hile most of the student body was sleeping, the swimmers were at the Woodlands Athletic Center practicing in the sometimes not so warm water. Work out began every morning at 5:30 a.m. so the swimmers had ample time to swim several thousand years be- fore returning to school. Both the girl's team and boys team faced a much tougher schedule than in years past. But by working hard and pull- take your mark . . . stroke for stroke ing together as a team, the swimmers came through with a rather successful season. We may have gotten off to a slow start, but by the end of the season eve- ryone was swimming best times. More people qualified for State than last year. We proved to be a dominating team in the region, said Sunny Smiley, Girl's team captain.
