Our team goal for the year was to create a feeling of unity and to make it to the playoffs, said senior Randy Flidlon. The thrill of being included in the playoffs made these players work even harder. One of our strongest points is that we do play hard and we enjoy playing ball with each other. senior Chip Entwistle ex- plained. The team's endurance on offense got stronger and they scored well. They had height on their side, and talent in every respect. Playing basketball, although it took hard work, was a learning experience. Being on the program for four years distilled values prepared the players for the future. Through my four years in lvlcC basketball, I have gained re- sponsibility, leadership qualities, and lots of great friends, said senior Penn lvlalery. The varsity team also received new uniforms. ladie push ahead ew players helped the Lady Mac's four returning lettermen but unfor- f n ately, inexperience caused several losses. Coach Debbie Jaackson said the girls fought hard. Success is giving lOO'X, effort and go- ing for the best you can do all the time, said Jackson. With practice after school and workouts during the holidays the team gained skills and plays which helped them in the sec- ond half of the season. A win over Bryan boosted confidence and enthusiasm. The junior varsity and freshman teams did exceptionally well at tournaments. JV won consolation in the Huntsville tournaments. Regina Eversole constructs a pattern to reach the goal.
