e Home Economics Club The Home Economics Club was organized on November 26, l94l. Al lhis meeling a nominaling commillee was elecled lo suggesl names for officesin lhe club. The girls on lhal commillee were: Dorolhy l-lowerlon, chairman, Jerry Schmill, Virginia Schrameclc, Dorolhy Dunslan, Narissa Scoll, LaVerne Schlemer, and Belle Jeanne Rood. The above nominaling commillee had by December 3, l942, lhe officers who were voled on by lhe club as: Presidenl, Calherine Gersleneclcerl Vice Presidenl, Dorolhy l-lowerlon: Secrelary, Fern Kuelcerg Treasurer, Belle Jeanne Roodg Publicily Chairman, Dorolhy Snow and Virginia Schrameclc. A Conslilulional Commillee was also nominaled al lhis meeling by lhe presidenl. The members of lhis commillee were: Mildred Marlin, Dorolhy Snow, Rachel Gagliardo, Belly Thomas, Agnes Loyel. The conslilulion was adopled by lhe members al lhe 3rd meeling. Al lhis lime il was decided lhal lhe l-lome Economics Club was open lo all girls who had any home economics while in high school. The purpose of lhe club is lo promole personal growlh and lo develop a professional spiril in home economics sludenls. The following slanding commillees were chosen by lhe presidenl lo acl lill lhe end of lhe school year. The commillees were as follows: Social Commillee: Chairman Belly Thomas, Dorolhy DeTinne, LaVerne Schlemer, 'Agnes Loyel. Nominaling Commillee: Chairman-Marie Loyel, Shirley Beulel, Lynelle Wencller, Blanch Schmerbauch. Program Commillee: Chairman- Mildred Marlin. Narissa Scoll, LaVerne Schullze, LaVera Ballinger. Ways and Means Commillee: Chairman-Jerry Schmill, Margy Thomas, Geneva Woolen, Arleen Failz. Future Farmers Cf Amerrca The purpose of lhe Fulure Farmers of America is lo develop agricullural leadership, lo slrenglhen lhe confidence of lhe farm boy in himself and his work, lo improve lhe worlc al home and ils surroundings, lo encourage cooperalive efforl among sludenls, lo promole lhrifl among lhe members. ll is an organizalion lhal aids in lhe lraining of each member for well rounded service lo his home, his communily and his counlry. There are lwenly-five members in lhe Troy Chapler of lhe Fulure Farmers of America.
