Agriculture Department L. D. RICHARDS The training in vocational agriculture as carried on at the Troy High School under State and Fed- eral Supervision, endeavors to contribute to the educational needs ot the community by conducting courses in vocational agriculture tor high school students, classes tor out ot school boys, termed part-time school. and evening school in adult education. At Troy, -we hope to malce our worlc in agricul- ture, detinite, comprehensive and practical. We want our program to serve the community in a way that the people will be able to develop new abili- ties and new attitudes in anticipation ot new situations in the field ot agriculture. Farming is a method ot living as well as a busi- ness. Special training in vocational agriculture must necessarily contain material that will train the student tor slcilltul operative processes required- tarming tor managerial abilities and tor civic and home obligations. As has been suggested by our State Leaders in vocational agriculture. the Troy High School Agri- culture Department is going to have to do its part in this war emergency of our country or some other agency is going to do what it should have done.
