BA D CA IVAL An indoor carnival was held by The band oT The McCray-Dewey High School on Friday and SaTurday evenings, November I4Th and I5Th. The main evenT oT Friday evening was a doncerT by The band. On SaTurday evening, The opening evenT was a concerT by The girls' glee club under The direcTion oT Miss Baker. The Swiss band, wiTh iTs unique CosTum-es, Turnished music in The corridors boTh evenings. EnTerTainmenT was Turnished boTh evenings by diTTerenT concessions in The rooms oT The school, namely: a baby show, which was greaTly enjoyed, especially by The sTu-denTs oT The high school: ForTune Telling, wiTh Mr. Bruclcer acTing as propheTg Bingo in The Science room: and various guessing games. A Technicolor movie oT The sTu-cl-enTs and TaculTies oT The LuTheran school, public grade school, high school, and surrounding rural schools was shown boTh evenings. The climax oT The carnival was The colorTul coronaTion on SaTurday nighT. As a small secTion oT The band played The grand march, Pomp and Chivalry, The procession enTered, led by The crown bearer, Mary Ellen SchmiTT Tollowed by The lovely maids who were accompanied by escorTs oT' Their choice, lrene Schlemer and Jule Kamm, Jerry SchmiTT and Jaclc Weir, BeTTy Droy and Les May, Gladys LoyeT and ArThur Weider, DoroThy DeTienne and Roy WiTTmann, RiTa Scully and Wilfred Meier, Leona Wiesemeyer and Bob ScoTT. Elaine TennelcaiT and Gene Adams.
