But during the year, a few people, the Chieftain Staff, work diligently to meet deadlines so that the annual will arrive on time. The staff hopes that you will enjoy this annual which did not appear in some mysterious manner. The annual is the result of much fun and good, hard work. Student Council V T' 1..-L.. By serving as a link between the students and the faculty, the Student Council promotes many of the various college activities. The student council is responsible for the op- eration of the candy kitchenland it is through its efforts that the students are able to enjoy many of the dances and parties throughout the year. The highlight of tits work,for the year is the Christmas and Spring Proms. This group is chosen from the various organi- zations and the student body. The officers for the year were: President, Jack Ballard, vice-president, Joan Rossmiller, and secretary-treasurer, Betty Kiel. Miss Storms served as the faculty sponsor. Development of special abilities and cooperation are the guiding ideals of the Thunderbird staff.
