EDITOR Sharon Black CO. EDITORS Carolyn Hunsecker Lindsay Riggs FOREWORD We first entered MHS in September, 1962, and we are now preparing to leave. We have spent six years here-perhaps the best years of our lives-years full of events both large and small which have influenced our actions and thoughts and shaped the destiny of our lives. There have been times of happiness and times of sadness; moments of excitement and antici- pation, and moments of boredom and disappointment. None of us will forget the day when we, as juniors, finally received our class rings; nor will we forget the fun of decorating for the prom, or the excitement and hard work involved with the senior play. Equally as vivid are the memories of half-finished homework, biology labs, French tapes, frantic cheering at basketball games, and candy and candle sales to finance our senior trip. Many memories will fade as the years pass; many events will gain new significance. In this 1968 edition of the SPARTA, we have recorded as much of our lives for the past six years as was possible. Above all else, however, we have tried to capture the essence of high school life; the true spirit of MHS.
