RECOGNITION FCJR MERITORIOUS SERVICE Miss Helen Ewing Our hats are off to you, Miss Ewing, for having completed in 1965 fifty years of elementary school teaching! Miss Ewing began her teaching career in a one -room school house, the Bond School in Pleasant Township, Hancock County, with twentyetwo students in six grades. Next, she taught the lower six grades in Deweyville. The following year she transferred, along with the upper three grades, to the McComb School system where she still teaches the Fourth Grade. For many years she was the Elementary Principal, which position she has relinquished this year. Graduated from McComb High School, she attended Miami University, Bowling Green State University, and received her B.A. degree from Findlay College. 9
