E M Alma Mater There stands an old brick building, tall and majestic still, For many years a symbol to every Tom, Dick, and Bill. For those who have walked through those doors And lingered through the halls has finally come the answer that beckons them to their calls. Up through the years we've struggled, through good ol' McComb High And here we've finally learned, to spread our wings and fly. But not without a lot of work, up burnin' the midnite oil Just to get a slip of paper to end our high school toil. The football games, cheering crowds, Hard seats and blankets too, All have gone together to make us each true blue. When we're in school we grumble, Will the day NEVER end? But when that Hnal day arrives, we find we've left a friend. Yes, with dreary hearts we leave, our feet fall slow and heavy, But then they quicken with each stride for new things are ahead, To mold and finally shape us, and leave in our stead A place for another, small and worthy head. Upon entering into the Hawaiian atmosphere the guests were greeted by grass-skirted girls and Hawaiian-clad boys who customarily placed colorful leis around their necks. After being seated, everyone gazed at the beautiful displays featuring an enchanted lagoon reflecting the lustrous rays of the moon with a snow-capped volcano in the background. A variety of pic- tures and colored paper typical of Hawaii, and the class mottos, decorated the walls. The three course dinner, prepared by the junior mothers, was served by a group of sophomores.
