The Freshman Class started out this year with 48 students. We were divided into two homerooms with Mr. Finley and Mr. Schmunk as homeroom teach- ers. We began the year by electing the following officers: President, Harriet Miller, Vice President, Roberta Harden, Secretary-Treasurer, Bonnie Newcomer, Historian, Carol Endrek. Our sponsor was Mr. White. We had several bake sales during the year to help us make money for our class trip that will be taken when we are seniors. We enjoyed the High School Christmas party with the upper four grades in Decem- ber and also enjoyed our own special party in the spring. Our first year in High School has been very exciting and we are looking forward to being Sophomores next ye ar. JOSTEN'S FINE CLASS RINGS

SOPHO ORES The Sophomore Class opened the school year by electing the following officers: President, Roy Wise, Vice President, Ed Barker, Secretary, Phyllis Sharninghouseg Treasurer, Scott Rader, Historian, Jim DeWeese. Miss Painter and Mr. Ammons were our homeroom 'teachers and Mr. Schmunk acted as our class advisor this ye ar. There are 50 members in our class this year. We are very proud of the boys in our class who participated in the sports of football and basketball, and we are also proud of Diane Booth for being elected High School Cheerleader. Many of the girls participated in the school activities of GAA and FHA. In our business meetings during the year, we discussed and found ways of making money for our senior trip. Some of these were bake sales, and collecting sales tax stamps. We also ordered our class rings, which are the prettiest yet, and we'll be looking forward to wearing them next year when you'll be seeing us as Juniors.
