Not Pictured: Phillip Davis. SOPHOMORES 'I'hirty-three students began the school year of '56-'57 as Sophomores. We were all eager to leam and be on our way. As our class officers we chose the following: President-Russel Conrad: Vice President-Charles Cos- nerg Secretary-J an Brickmang Treasurer-Judy Sheidlerg Historian-Marlene Mapes: Reporter-Joyce Campbell. We were sorry to lose Bill Grogg during the year to Van Buren, but glad to have a new member, Grace Halsey, from Findlay. Phillip Davis moved to Findlay but returned after six weeks. We were glad that some of the boys took interest in sports, now we have some 1ettermen . Good work, boys. Marlene Mapes also had the honor of becoming one of the high school cheerleaders. We earned money for our class this year by collecting tax stamps . Our class advisor is Mr. Schmunk. He is a very good advisor, we all might add. COMPLIMENTS OF HANCOCK HYBRIDS INC., Findlay, Ohio

We were sorry to lose Carol Bulter, John and Jay Rea but glad to welcome June Hile. November 2, we presented the p1ay, Down To Earth which was enjoyed by all. As money making projects we sold Christmas cards and sold refreshments at some of the ballgames. We were proud of the number of boys that were out for sports. FRESH N X We started our High School career with fifty-one students, among which was a new student, Jerry Pierce, from 3 Findlay. 1 We elected the following officers: President 3 Gary Geren, Vice President 5 Eddie Barker, Secretary-Treasurer, 1 Marietta Morrison, Reporter, Diane Booth, Historian, Kay Martens. Mr. White was our advisor. l We, also, selected our motto, colors, and flower. Our motto is A hard beginning makes a good ending. .The 1 colors are orchid and white. The flower is the yellow rose. We were glad to have Diane Booth elected as one of our cheerleaders. We were, also, very proud of the Freshman boys on the football and the basketball team.
