Near the End of the Trail Here we are just turning the corner for the last lap of our education at dear olcl McComb High. To lead us this year we chose Charles Worthman as our presidentg Gerald Woodruff as Vice Presidentg Martelle Long as Secretaryg June Harden as Treas- urcrg and Marjorie Shafer as Reporter. Uur main object this year has been to secure enough funds for the Junior-Senior Banquet. This we did chiefly through proceeds from the candy office and the Junior Play. When we were Freshmen, we chose as our class motto, Up the Ladder Step By Step g our class flower, the sweet peag and our class colors, blue and silver. We held two very successful parties at the school house this year. Our present class consists of 45 members. We're on Our Way These are the promising sophomores. Already they have shown themselves active. James Haddox has been elected President both in the Freshman and Sophomore year. John McCamey is their Vice President and Rex Inbody is the Secretary- Treasurer. Bob Shafer of this class was on the first team in basketball this year. Robert Dillon moved from Mt. Blanchard and joined this class since the above picture was taken. Mr. Bowers is the class advisor. They have held one party this year. It was held at the school house. In the Freshman year they chose the pink rose as their favorite flowers and blue and silver as their class colors. Their motto is 'tAlways Lead, Never Follow .
