They are back on their route again thanks to the valet, Bill Caton, who has taken lean in hands-I mean in arms. Adeline Dishong is the secretary to Dick Brickman who is foreman of the Paris Garter Corporation. Vivian Clevidence and Anna McDowell are employed by Dick as models. Mr. Daniel is the modern Shelly of the world. Most of his poems are romantic and yet he has not married. The big reason seems that he cannot decide whether it will be a blond brunette or redhead ln case anything might happen he has started to lay away a little nest egg Miss MacDonald has been sued in court for breach of promise The only evidence that her suitor has is a scarf which she knitted for him fifteen years ago This scarf contains their 1n1t1als encircled by a heart Martha Lois Hamlin has organized a cook ing school thanks to the Home Economics she took in high school Her able assistants are David Culp and Elizabeth Dorman Mary Susan Mitchell and Martha Fullweii er who have been living together since l939 have gone in for farming in a big way They recently have bought 50 more acres Because they are unable to keep the cows from kicking long enough to milk them they have employ ed Bob Wise to do the milking and a few other odd Jobs Elizabeth Price recently returned to McComb to visit her parents after having been abroad for five years She is the United States Ambassador to France The senior civics class under the direc tion of Mr Neiderhiser while studying the court procedure of the United States decided to have a mock trial the members to be chosen from the class David Culp acted as Judge throughout the The state s attorney was Delbert Latta The attorney for the defense was Dick Brickman Other characters were Bdlllff Bob W159 Clerk of Courts Eunice Ewing Court Stenographers Frances Rader Geraldine Hector Dwight Iackson and Fannie Gae Dorman are the two new comedians of the air. They have taken over the program formerly given by Burns and Allen. Carol Payne has been selected as the business manager for the Dionne Ouintuplets. They appeared at the State Theatre last week. Mr. Winter has built a Crow Cemetery next to his farm two miles east of McComb. People had begun to complain of peculiar odors in their backyards where Mr. Winter has buried the crows.
