B-Team, Junior High players display fighting spirit B-Team players listen to directions from Coach Nevels—Mike Elting, Ronnie Blackledge, Jeff King. 178 Despite a disheartening 3-12 season record, the B-Team players exhibited promise as future varsity stars. The record may not show it, but they gave an excellent account of themselves as they kept up team morale and a fighting spirit against all odds. The Junior High basketball team consisted of two squads. In a seventeen game schedule the Ninth Grade Team won six and lost eleven; the Seventh and Eighth Grades Team won twelve and lost five. Junior High players got a lot of enjoy- ment out of participating in this sport.
