F.T.A. Students ain Experience Riagg km 1982-85 FTA CLUB-Front Row: Mr. Ricardo Gallegos, Gail McDonald, Kenneth Painter, Gerald Larlos and Gloria Hernandez. Second Row: Dalia Whitten, Alison Tudyk, Brenda Chapa, Sylvia Noriega, Sandra Soto and Carolina Chapa. Third Row: Rachel Perez, Brenda Castillo, Patricia Ramirez.-john Casarez, Rudy Torrez, Raul Paredes and Steven Solano. Back Row: Letty Zamarippa, Carol McDonald, Roxanna Vasquez, Frank l.asoyo.jesse Chavez, Rocky Castaneda, Daniel Ponce and Cheryl Lambert. Future Teachers of America helps students to gain experience by working as teacher's aides. Students gain a valuable insight into the life ofa teacher. The club stresses to its members the duties and responsibilities that go along with the teaching field. FTA members took an active part in bake sales and participated in fund-raisers throughout the year. They also held a picnic as their closing ceremony. The club sponsor is Mr. Ricardo Gallegos. Gloria Hernandez and date enjoy the FTA picnic.

The Show Choir was especially active in competitive events, and we look for- ward to a first when McCollum Choir hosts the new Alamo Show 'xg Choir Festival in May of 1984!
