Editor's Forward Another year of accomplishments have come and gone, but for the WRANGLER staff of '83, it was major pro- blems-such as emotional stress, financial problems, and lack of support-that had to be overcome. It has been a tough year for the staff, but for all those who cooperated and helped the staff, it sure did make a difference. There have been other schools whose yearbook has fallen and I knew I couldn't let this happen to the Wrangler, but due to Mrs. Alva Ibarra and the staff for hanging together, the major problems were conquered. To my fellow graduates, this marks the 20th Anniversary for McCollum High. I hope you cherish and keep this book in memory just like I will. We the McCollum graduates of '83 have invested much time, faith, and love into our school, and ask that everyone else please treat it with respect just as we did. This year was a very exciting and very spirited. Thats why we had the motto Proud to be Seniors of 83 . We all knew we had a big day this year, which was Friday, May 27, 1983. Cheers of freedom were being expressed along with tears of happiness. Hugs and kisses were exchanged with wishes of luck and joy. Paces looked upward. This was a night to remember. This was a cowboy graduation. I would like to thank everyone who helped me throughout the year, mainly Mrs. Alva Ibarra for without her many things would have been impossible, I would like to congratulate jimmy Garcia on his well-deserved position and wish him, and all my other friends the best of luck with their yearbook.
