The 1982-83 French Club had a very active year trying to raise money for their club. Their calendar was filled with cake sales and car washes. Through its many club activities, members were given a greater insight into the customs and heritage of France, rg , The club is designed to promote an understanding of the French MX culture as well as added skill in the spoken language. New Club in Town 1982-83 HOME AND FAMILY CLUB-Front Row: Ms, Longoria. Shirley Tijerina, Patricia Ramirez. Monica Herrera. Becky Mosqueda. and Ms. Logan. Second Row: Cruz Morin, Carlene Kyler. Shannon Edwards, Denise Purser, Vickie Barnard. Barbara Chapa. and Yvonne Garcia. Third Row: Hector Gutierrez. Sam johnson, Martin jasso, and Roland Garza. As McCollum's twentieth year began, a new club was formed to encourage student involve- ment. The Home and Family Club closed their first official meeting with a total of forty members. The new club set their future plans which include mak- ing toys to give to the orphanages and visiting the lx nursing homes in our community. The Home and Y ' -- -......., cv 2 . Family Club managed these tasks by raising money , with a successful candied popcorn sale. 7 .
