Spirit Week, November 9-13, was a colorful experience. Everyone showed their spirit bymparticipating in the week's Octivities. Monday wos proclaimed Death to the Indians Day . Cowboys came dressed in black to mourn at the funeral held here for Harlandale. Tuesday was Suspenders and Overalls Day, Wednesday was Dress-Up Day, Thursday was Western Day, and Friday was Color Day. A car bash, sponsored by DECA, helped add to the festivities. The Spirit Chain was won by the sophomores, as well as the poster, and the seniors won the Penny Barrel competition. The S10 prize for Best Decorated Car at the car caravan was won by Robin Ruesch. Q The highlight'-T of the week was the long-awaited game. Balloons and streamers added beautiful scenery as the football players burst through the poster. The first touchdown was made and the Indian body was sent off. The head was later released during half-time. The best part of the game was the score, 16-0, with the Indians being sent to reservations with their heads down low!
