Students Learn the Past Live the Present History is a way of life, not just a subject you didn't make an A in. Under this broad area is: economics, government, American and world history, world geography and Texas history. McCollum teachers, as well as teachers in general, Work long hours planning field trips, term reports, term projects, and many other special assignments designed to keep students learning and interested. In this way, students are interested in the past and what is NOW. This becomes history in itself. Language: Insights and Other than E n gl i s h, the languages taught at McCollum High School are Spanish and French. These two languages are the ones spoken most by visitors and people who are stationed here in the service. People who speak two or more languages are able to Broader Horizons meet and become acquainted with people of different nationalities. The writing and reading of both languages are also taught.
