F.T.A. Gives Better Understanding Future Teachers of America is an association that gives interested stu- dents a better understanding of the fundamentals of teaching. Club members, headed by Presi- dent Cecelia Tarver, take part in sell- -1 ing Christmas paper, giving a teach- er's coffee, teaching in elementary X Q 0 schools, and attending the District and State Conventions. This year they also are giving a scholarship to an outstanding senior, Cecelia Tarver. The FTA sponsor is Mrs. Gladys McCollum. School Spirit Activities Jesse Alavarado, sgt.-at-arms, sells Pat Felux a Student Council Directory. The directory serves as one of the Council's largest money-making projects. Bright decorations show holiday spirit of the Christmas season. All advisories par- ticipate in th e S.C. door-decoration contest. Linda Lake talks to the student body as she campaigns for office. She won the of- fice of President of the Student Council for the 1970-71 school year.
