Guide Youth of McCollum Mr. Ernest Hoffman, who serves as assistant principal of McCollum, handles the student dis- cipline problems. He is also responsible for all school-sponsored student activities. Mr. Hoffman received his Bachelor of Science and Master of Education degrees at Southwest Texas State University. ,wi W f 1 Mr. Earl Ott assumes the responsibilities as vice principal of McCollum. He is responsible for all financial records concerning the school, clubs and organizations. He supervises the janitorial staff and maintenance of the school buildings. Counselors Provide Sound Advice Mrs. Lucille Deasey, counselor, serves the students by helping them with their personal and school prob- lems. She also supervises the testing program at McCollum. In addition, Mrs. Deasey is the sponsor of McCollum's National Honor Soci- ety. Pictured with Mrs. Deasey is Sammy Presas. Mr. Reggie Marthis is McCol1um,s boys counselor. He assists Mrs. Deasey in planning the school scho- lastic testing program. Also, Mr. Marthis is co-sponsor of the Na- tional Honor Society. Miss Ruby McPherson is McCol- lum's first freshman counselor. Pre- viously the journalism sponsor at McCollum, she is currently the sponsor of the Student Council. Miss McPherson has the privilege of being part of McCollum's staff since it was initially opened.
