Typing I Teaches Basics Change and mechanization is the keynote of the future, and the business department of McCollum High School is keeping up with the trends. In this age of key punch, computers, and magnetic tape typing, the basic keyboard for all these machines is taught to Typing I students. In Typing II students broaden the principles of business and personal typing learned in Typing I, and build their speed and proficiency. In one year of shorthand, students achieve a foun- dation for a skill that will lead them to stenographic positions that are to be impor- tant in the future. Bookkeeping contributes to our vocational education and record- keeping contributes to our general educa- tion. L. Dupont R. Greer N. Humphreys D.
