Purposes of the McCollum High School Student Council are to improve student morale and student-faculty relationship. The Council is the student's opportunity to voice his opinion concerning activities of his school. The organization consists of representatives elected from each class. All members must maintain a C+ average or better. This year the Council was represen- C S Sponsor o- ponsor ML B10 dgett ted by delegates at the Alamo Miss Searcy Association of Student Council's Con- vention and Texas Association of Student Councilis Convention held in Amarillo. Sponsored by Mr. Jim Blodgett, the club is active throughout the year. Their projects include organizing and present- ing assemblies, publishing and selling student directories, and being a partici- pant in TAP. The Council also participated in the rodeo parade and added to the school spirit.

Work To Aid Students Members of the Student Council consist of students from the student body. Six Freshman members are fTopj Gloria Sanchez, Walter Bodin, Patsy Bodiford, Pamela Pais, Melvin Weems, and Brenda Lake. Sophomore members include ftop centerj Billye Simpson, Henry Zuehl, Skippy Hajek, Nannette Cum- berland, Linda Lake, Winky Pape, Jesse Alvarado, Debbie Bell. The Junior members of the Council are fbottom centerj Jerry White, Marsan Nowotny, Sharon Suhler, Diane Ayala, Joe Cortez, Molly Mayfield, Larry Price. The '69 Seniors of the Council are fbottomj Lynda Allen, Teresa Gonzales, Retta Eckelcamp, Janet Holt, Steve Slavich, Martha Ashley, Eva Garcia, John Kelly, Dee Anne McDonald, Zandra Zamora, Tommie Mathews, Valerie Weynand, and Bobby Thomae, who is not pictured. The Councils Activities this year prove to be the best. Each one of these members gave more than their share of work to make this successful year possible.
