There are those activities which might he labeled 'cseniors onlyw. A- long with such standards as the Na- tional Honor Society induction Q34 seniorsj came many inovations. The senior picnic is traditionally held at Brackenridge Park, but this class spent a day touring Germany, Mexico, Japan, Thailand, Switzer- land, and a host of other countries, weaving textiles on an TBM com- puter, and seeing San Antonio from the tallest observation tower in the western hemisphere, Hemisli' air was the site. Teenettes held a dance honoring the class of 768. A live band provided music for the after school affair. Another innovation of the year was senior field day, which entailed competition in softball and volleyball among the senior advisories. The spirit of sportsmanship in which the event was carried out made the day most pleasurable for spectators, par- ticipants, and referee Qparticularly the latterj. Seniors had grown tired of the stark look of the school lawn, so six oak trees were purchased and planted by the seniors to give some variety to the school landscape. -3 f-
