Zepcmtmmla gamma In addition to the enter- tainment furnished by the many talent shows and assem- blies, two educational and cultural programs were spon- sored by the Biology Club and the Fine Arts Depart- ment. Science projects from Biology and Chemistry classes Were displayed. Winning projects were sent to Trinity for further competition. The band and choir spring festival was augmented by an art exhibit of original sculpture and paintings by aspiring art students. Through such efforts interest in scien- tific and cultural endeavors is stimulated. 306

7651409662616 S nw Sports are a big part of MeCollum's curriculum as are English and Social Studies. The Intramural games played in the Spring between advisories are favorite lunch-time spectator sports as classmates support their advisory teams. The Faculty-Lettermen game is a highlight of the sports year at lVle. Every year the faculty meets club members in a sometimes brutal and always hilarious battle of the brawn over a bruised knee that takes place in the gym. Many a student, though not particularly interested in volleyball, fast for weeks in order to see their friends and enemies defeated on the volleyball court. 508 3 A
