At pep rallys, athletic events, and everywhere they went, the girls carried with them the same spirit that kept students cheerin throu h ole :'lVlc7'. g g many v-i-c-t-0-r-y battle cry competitions for dear Throughout the fall Toni Gautney, Cindy Hicks, Loretta Mueller, Cindy Howard, and Valerie Weynand enlightened our Fridays with some of the most clever skits the Cowboy gym has seen. When football season was over and the cold north wind brought with it their longer skirted basketball uniforms, the diehard five kept clapping to cc-cow-hh-boys. If awards would be given for undying zeal one would undoubtedly go to the cheerleaders. No other group of students have had the same spirited effect on the lVlcCollum campus. 294

This situation exists from the time one enters the line into the parking lot before school, faces the daily ordeal of climbing or descending stairs and risking his life in the cafeteria lines, ,til he finds it is time to once more gather his courage and attempt again the parking lot crowds. When ordering senior rings or caps and gowns, paying for your Wrangler, or posing for yearbook pictures, students can be seen shifting their weight from foot to foot trying to keep the circulation going. wwf -i f.
