Hamm dwaza an McCollum High School Choir entertains for school and public functions while providing vocal training to members. Originated and directed by Mr. Charles Polk in 1966, the first choirls activities were limited to school concerts. During 1967-1968, directed by Pat Carson, the choir gave three Christmas concerts for the student body and sang in a Christmas program at Joskeis. Later in the year the group presented a program at the Barn Door during a luncheon for principals, vice-principals, and superintendents. In April the choir participated in the U.1.L. contest with the band and performed at the Amphitheatre at HemisF air in May. Penny Booth and Janet lVlcQuaid, the first members of lVlcCollum's choir to compete in state competition, were rewarded for their efforts. Penny received second alternate to All State Choir and Janet received regional honors. 190

Mr. Larry Brown Marshall Meyers sponsor president The Projeciionist Club, sponsored by Mr. Larry Brown, is trained for the operation of the schoolls audial and visual aid equipment. Each boy must have a C+ average and pass training classes on the workings of this equipment. 191 James Struss, Perry Taylor, and Ronnie Skyrm operate the small spotlight.
