SENIOR HIGHLIGHTS The high and mighties of January, 1939, led by Blaz Cikoch, sponsored a skating party, celebrated Senior Day and held the Senior Prom during the last semester of their high school days. Senior Day was celebrated on December 2, when the graduating class gave an assembly for the entire student body. Opening the program was a vocal group of low and high seniors, who sang several numbers, led by Mrs. Wilma Bash and Mr. Norman Pillsbury, music instructors. The Martins and the Coys , a musical skit, was put on by Frances Haiqh and Dorothy Rafael. The act was directed by Mrs. Lorinda Bugbee, pianist. Nina Penquite sang I Won't Tell a Soul , and Blossoms on Broadway . Ferdinand the Bull was dramatized by Laura Curto as the bull and Anita Ligouri as the matador, with the song sung by Fred Stockinger. Fourteen members of the dramat-ics class took part in the verse choir. A tango dance, taught by Miss Wilma Manning, was done by twelve seniors. Dorothy Rafael sang her farewell version of Music, Maestro, Please . Closing the program was Blaz Cikoch, bidding the student body adieu on behalf of the graduating class. Following the assembly the low seniors entertained their betters at a dance. On the eve of January 13 the graduates held their biggest event of the term, the Senior Prom, the theme of the affair being Spanish. Taking charge of the prom bids was Frances Haigh, with F rank Aiello and Louis Celia assisting her. The skating party held October 12 was planned by Ralph Mack, Walter Tomoff, Kay Mori, and Lawrence Donatelli.
