l DEDICATION To The Little Lady With The Smile l lVlrs. G. W. Turner l Our Librarian We, the Senior Class, take great pleasure in dedicating our annual, The McClurean, to Mrs. Turner. Alice Leona Koon was born on December 12, 1878 in Darke County, Greenville, Ohio. There is a very interesting story about Miss Koon, at the time of her birth. Miss Koon's cous- in, who was very small, came to view the new baby. Miss Koon's parents told her that the baby's name was Alice Leona. When she reached home, she told her parents that the baby's name was Allie Bolognie. That name stayed with Miss Koon! Her relatives do not let her forget her nickname. Miss Koon was united in marriage to Mr. George Turner on November 29, 1897 in Piqua, Ohio. They are the proud parents of four children, which are three boys and one girl. Mrs. Turner has worked in our library for eight years. We boys and girls have gone to the library at different times feeling mighty low, but Mrs. Turner always made us happy be- fore we left. In her spare time she likes to read books, that enables her to help us pick out the books best suited to our need. We the Senior Class are going to miss our friendly chats with Mrs. Turner! We real- ize that many a time we have gone to the library without permission, but somehow Mrs. Turner always understood. We are very proud of you, Mrs. Turner, and we would like to dedicate this, our year book, to you!
