MCCLUREAN APPRECIATION We, the Annual Staff, wish to express our deepest and most sincere appreciation to our superintendent, lVlr. Neiderhiser. Through his patience and faithful guidance, we have made a firm stand on the first rung of the ladder of success. By his ever- present willingness to explain and make us understand the dif- ficulties we met while in school, he has prepared us to meet and overcome the obstacles which we shall face on the road to suc- cess. We shall always remember him as a friend who was ever- ready and willing to help. DEDICATION To the Armed Forces of the United States of America, we respectfully dedicate this 1944 lVlcClurean. During the two and one-half years in which we have been engaged in war with the Axis, countries, many of the graduates of NlcClure High School have been called into the service of their country. They did not hesitate when the call came: in fact, many did not wait for the call to come. Of their own free will, they left their jobs, families, and friends to come to the aid of their country. A large percentage of these people are now treading foreign soil, while some are still in training, inside the United States. We are fortunate that the number of war casualties for McClure is small, but it is inevitable that many more will make the supreme sacrifice before we win a complete victory. With our hearts full of pride, we salute them and their com- rades, and wish them a quick victory and a safe return. H'
