And experience has taught the Class of '43 that it has indeed been fortunate in having Mr. Dodd serve as its class advisor. It was when we entered Sth grade that the Class of '43 first met Mr. Dodd, whom we found out later would direct the fortunes of our class. By a coincidence, Mr. Dodd and the Class of '43 were reunited as the class embarked on its hnal milestone. the Senior year. Through the passing years the Class of '43 has come to realize that success woufd have been impossible, had it not been for Mr. Dodd's steadying and guiding hand. In grateful recognition of his undying devotion to a task undertaken, his never-ending encouragement to a class sometimes indifferent and in despair, the Senior Class of 1943 dedicates this volume of the Candlebeam to its tireless advisor and closest friend, Wfilson K.
