She is very timid at times and blushes very sweetly, but we are sure she will overcome this in the future. Her heart throb appears to be in the Air Corps at present. If you see a girl with a red face and tears streaming down her face from laughing you know that's Zella. Some say she ranks First as the most studious and industrious but we wonder???? She hails from Decatur Township and is fre- quently seen driving a '36' Plymouth. Her dearly beloved has gone to help UNCLE SAM too. A saying that she admires very much is A chip off the old block . Betty is the dfmpled face girl of our class, who draws much attention from the opposite sex. You very seldom see her studying, but she al- ways manages to get along quite well. Here is a very athletic boy who takes part in all sports and is very good in them. He has quite a way with the fairer sex but is constantly shifting. He seems to take quite an interest on his father's farm. But in whatever he chooses for his life work, we wish him the best of luck. BILLY GERALD FRYE Bill Hey, Honey Junior Class Play, Candlebeam 4433 Orange and Maroon 43, 433 Treasurer 423: Student Congress 423. Bill is the ladies man in the Senior class. He has quite a time to decide which shall be his choice, although at the present he seems to be doing very well with a light haired Junior girl. VVe are sure Bill will make a success in farm- ing with a nice female beside him to share the chores. She seems rather quiet at times, but prob- ably her mind wanders to a first class private. She is very good on the basketball floor and very good in going through maneuvers. She has a longing desire to be a great singer and success is certain to fall on a girl with such a lovely voice. We would not be surprised to see her appearing in an opera some day. Mary is the giggling pupil of our class. She always seems quite happy. Could there be a reason for this?? She usually manages to have her lessons pre- pared and is generous in helping others. Dot joined us in our Sophomore year and we feel as though we have had a great addition. She is industrious but still hnds time for mischief. She breaks the monotony in French class. You can often hear someone saying in the morning, We are all present this morning except Cliff . But just look out the window and you can see him coming through the woods. Charlie', is doing his best trying to sell candy. although he has some trouble since rationing has gone into effect. VVe never hear Charles say anything about girls , but we often see him sitting, staring at them, and looking somewhat dazed .
