Soccer Becomes Fall Sport ia' pr ,-. ,-of , ff K W. 5 6 if Team Strives For 100th Win The McCluer Soccer Comets of 1975 had a tough assignment, to match what last year's team had done. They had to be an area power and a state contender. The reason it would be particularly hard was that only three starters were returning from last year's team. This year's team went into ev- ery game giving all they had, but they were inexperienced. Still this inexperience didn't keep them from playing a tough game be- cause the Comets only lost one game by more than one goal. The team was a spoiler to the rest of the league in that they did not contend, but they certainly had a say in what happened. One ofthe goals of the seniors was to give Coach Signaigo his one hundreth victory as a varsity coach, but they didn't make it. To quote one of the seniors, I wish we could have done it for him.
