Paulo Adedato Walking down the hall and glancing around most students will come across a dark haired, dark eyed guy with a gigantic smile that is carried with him everywhere he goes. He is a 16 year old foreign exchange student, Paulo Adedato. His home is in Brazil. Paulo's family is quite familar with this school: his two older brothers were exchange students at McCluer in 1972 and 1975. His sister plans to attend lVlcCluer in 1978. Paulo is still adjusting to the backward way at McCluer. At school in Brazil things are alot different than they are at McCluer. For instance, the stu- dents stay in the rooms and the teachers change classes. Paulo finds most of the people at McCluer friendly but because of the language barrier he depends mostly on peoples looks and their response to his smile. When asked about his favorite things, Paulo favors soccer and bowling where sports are concerned. He is also a rock concert fan with his favorite group being YES . Paulo thinks living in St. Louis is an experience but is sure he will like it the longer he's here. 'QS

Foreign Exchange Tom Surlien Tom Surlien is a tall, brown- haired, blue eyed, eighteen year old Senior. He comes to McCluer as a foreign exchange student from Ask- er, Norway. He has two brothers, one older and one younger who also is an exchange student in Ohio. Tom is described as intelligent, care free, and a lover of nature. His favorite sports are skiing and soccer. He was on McCluers soccer team this year. Tom likes St. Louis but misses the beautiful scenery of Norway with its mountains, and his friends.
