X 31 .. . .V 3 This past summer the Varsity Cheerleaders practiced twice a week and attended NCA Cheerleading Camp in Springfield, Missouri at Southwest Missouri State Uni- versity. While at camp they won four blue ribbons during competition and three spirit sticks. The third night they were allowed to keep a spirit stick as one of the highest awards given. In October, they conducted a clinic at Bermuda Elementary School and judged at their cheerleading tryouts. In order to raise money they had car washes and bake sales. The money went toward camp, uniforms and the float they entered in the Homecoming Parade. They did their best to promote school spirit and had a lot of fun.
