W graogfjon Zijofff Eepzby . Students come to McClintock seeking many things. Each brings an assortment of beliefs and ambitions by which his life is patterned. Days at McClintockare numbered--both for those who sought and found and for those whose quest is yet unsatisfied. Cherished thoughts are many as we recall our rewards for work well done, our enthusiasm for extra-curricular activities, and our goal for life. At McClintock we have an obligation to school, teachers, parents, and to ourselves. This is our story as told by the students of McClintock Junior High School. nyfs McClintock's English department adapts itself to every student's needs. Each student receives a thorough background of English grammar, and a review of ourstanding literature. To encourage creativity, a course injournalism is offered in which the students edit and publish the newspaper and annual. ' A course in creative writing is designed to acquaint the students with different styles of writing, the mechanics of writing, and to give ample time to making writing more vivid. Public speaking is offered to students to prepare them for living in a democracy where the spoken word is now more influential than the written word. Potter -McDaniel Our goal at McClintock is to teach each student to think clearly and honestly, to read thoughtfully, to com- municate effectively, and to listen intelligently. Hathcock 4
