Klum, 1,-,Z jlzbfmazzy, W0 The class of February, 1940 was the fifth to leave McClatchy, and during its stay contributed greatly to school activities. ln the spring of 1938, the class enjoyed a picnic and dance, outstanding in 1939 was the Iunior Prom, 'Superstitious Swing, on Friday, Ianuary 13, and at Christmas time the class contributed a tree for the main hall. On December 7, 1939, the class presented The Thirteenth Chair, which brought forth much favorable comment, and the climax of high school life came in the Senior Ball, Tanuary 24. The class is most appreciative of all the friendly aid of Mr. Eugene Lindberg, class sponsor. Those who have distinguished themselves in various ways ore: Student Body and Class activities, Dexter Bivett, Travers Durkee, Miles Scofield, Harry Tammen, and Wilbur Yost, Public Speaking, Doris Noble, Hermine Gaylord, and Monroe Baer, Scholastically, Monroe Baer, Football, Elwood Rhoades, Albert Howell, Walter Goldblatt and Bill Sisson, Basketball, Bill Putnam, Bob Lewis and Leland Potter, R.
