FOREWORD The staff, represented by Pat Butler and Susanne Pinkham, proudly present this edition of the Purple and Gold Album. We have attempted to present a picture of our school with the hope that we can instill in your- memory the things about McCants which you would most like to remember. Each time you turn a page may you feel that this book was made for you. McCants is a part of your heritage . . . you are a part of hers. 5

PRCUDLY WE ACCEPT CLIR LEGACY . . . The things that happen each day I... the faces . . . the places . . . the victories . . . the defeats . . . the thousand of big and little events. All of this is part of our lives and the things we will remember. Bricks and mortar are not unimportant, but any worthy school is above all else a place of the mind and the spirit. Since 1935, when this McCants Junior High School was established and named for the one who dreamed and founded it, she has continually grown in tradition and enlightenment of purpose and ideals that stand today as a firm foundation for the school. She has grown physically with a rapidly expanding building and with a curriculum constantly improving to meet our needs.
