These ser- vice-minded girls have also sold poppies for the Veterans of Foreign Wars and wrapped gifts for the State Hos- pital Christmas party. The Doba Beata Y-teens, a group of eleventh grade girls, is one of several y-teen clubs at McCallum. All of these clubs are very active in service projectsg the Doba Beata club this year conducted a calendar selling campaign, cake sale, and light globe sale to raise money for their projects. The money earned in this manner financed a needy family at Thanksgiv- ing. The civic-minded members also made reg- ular visits to an old-folks home to cheer the patients and brighten their lives with gifts of flowers. Such a. considerate group certainly de- served the weekend trip to a dude ranch that they tooklast year. This year they plan a similar trip if they have sufficient funds left after' their service propects. 226
