Right: But after some impromptu but well attended pep rallies, at the edge of the practice field, the spirit soared again. Martha Tiemann takes flight along with Babs Bartow and Gay Maloy. The most successful football season in McCallum High School History was highlighted by many spirited pep rallies during the fall months. He began his career as Press Capades director in 1953. This year's show has been heralded as his greatest by many critics. Despite the failure to win the flip, the Knights wound up the season with only the one loss and that came in the fading seconds of the game with the Temple Wild- cats. P l Right: Jerry Winn and Mike Carmichael proudly crate up the Vic- tory Bell for another year, another win. The Knights came home in possession of the bell this year after winning the Travis game-the victor of which keeps the bell for the following year. Immediately after the Travis win, which gave us a triple tie with Palestine and Temple, the coaches of the tied teams flipped.
