Sensor Class Prophecy About ten years after graduating Marilyn Mannes the pres1dent of the class of 1959 in McCalls burg dec1ded to look up all of her former classmates She had married a m1ll1ona1re who had formerly been her boss and IS now the president of General Mills Because Jo Ann was working in nearby Des Moines Marilyn decided to v1s1t her first She got into her new car and started to drive southward As she was nearing Des Moines she spotted a road Slgll with the 1nscr1pt1on See the former home of the Roland Rocketts ' Just out of cur1os1ty she dec1ded to go and see the town As she drove 1nto the deserted streets she saw a man guiding tourists through the ghost town and showing them the sour grape vines As she Joined the crowd she saw that the gulde was Larry Rutter her former classmate Since McCallsburg has become such a booming metropolis Larry Rutter has all he can do guiding tour1sts through the ghost town Then she continued on her way to see JoAnn who IS working as a model for Younkers in Des Moines JoAnn was also very prosperous and had won the title of M1ss Iowa Wh1le Marilyn was in Des Moines she decided to visit one of her friends who was in the hospital there As she entered the hospital she saw Sherry Grunsted working as a secretary for the head surgeon It has been rumored that a romance 1S budding between Sherry and her wealthy employer Marilyn was very happy f1nd1ng three of her former classmates in Iowa and now she decided to go out to San Francisco to see Marilyn F1ncham On her way she stopped in Omaha to stay for the mght As she entered a hotel she noticed a fashion show 1n one of the ball rooms After going in she saw Aruta F1ncham who is now a very successful dress designer showing some of her new fashions west As she entered one of the finer department stores she saw Valerie Olson in a private office When she talked to her she found that Valerie owned the store and was very happy and prosperous in her l1ne of work It was a beaut1ful day as Mar1lyn cont1nued her trip west The traffic wasn't very heavy so she took notice when a car pulled alongside and flagged her to a stop It was Paul Ellingson in his self designed car that had recently won the Indianapolis 500 mile race Paul was very successful in his work and has won nation wide fame At noon Mar1lyn stopped for dlnner at one of the steak houses along the road Just as she was fuuslnng her meal 1n walked Ruberta and her husband Ruberta was on vacat1on and usually workeu at John's Hopk1ns hospital as a nurse Because she had just started her vacation she decided to accompany Marilyn to the west coast On the way Ruberta became 111 so in Denver Colorado they stopped at the Denver Health Cl1n1c There they found Ernest Lehman and Larry Lee practicing medicine Ernest was an M D and Larry was a dentist They were both very successful and happy to see their former classmates Ruberta' only trouble was a slight cold and soon they were again on their way While they were at the Cl1I11C Larry and Errue told them that Jerrol Severtson had a tourist resort in Colorado Springs The resort was on their way west so they stopped and there they found Jerrol and h1s wife 1n the1r private swimming pool Jerrol was very prosperous and had a very vigorous business Just as they were leaving Jerrol's resort a plane came seemingly from novuhere and almost grazed the tops of the tourist cabins Jerrol told Marilyn and Ruberta that It was only Roy Black doing rolls at 15 feet to polish the belly of lus aircraft He also told them that Roy was a Lt in the A1r Force and was stationed in Carson Nevada Roy had designed h.1S own aircraft that had revolutionized the air force o . . . ,, After spending the night, Marilyn decided to do a bit of shopping before continuing her trip on ' .
