Class Hzstor It was Just twelve short years ago, 1n the fall of 1947 that 21 bashful llttle boys and g1rls made their hrst trip to school As we entered the first grade room our teacher, Miss Katherine Larson bea.med w1th Joy to see our bright, mtelhgent faces Those who started that day were Ronald Brauer Paul E1l1ngson, Larry Lee Ernest Lehman M1ke Phelan, Pat Phelan, Larry Rutter Jerrol Severtson Tommy Webb Ruberta Arnold Nancy Cook, Amta F1ncha.m Marilyn Fmcham, Sherry Grunsted L1nda Hartman, Marilyn Ma.nnes, Carolyn Menzel Valerie Olson, JoAnn Severtson, Janet Schwartz a.nd Linda Torgeson In the second grade Miss Thorson had the honor of being our teacher Ronald Brauer left us in the second grade to attend school 1n Hubbard But we made up the loss by the coming of Richard Handsaker and Allen Sanders in the second semester Ruberta Arnold left for WISCODSIH soon after they came Then on to tlurd grade Our new members th1s year were Robert Cochran and Glenda Strum Ruberta Arnold got homesick for Burg and dec1ded to come back L1nda Thorgeson had transferred to Radcliffe Our teacher th1s year was Miss Ostrem Nancy Cook decided she liked Zear1ng better than Burg and moved over there Tommy Webb also moved away We spent the whole year w1thout Amta Fmcham who was attending colmtry school near her home Of course there had to be some who thought themselves too good for our 3rd grade class and dec1ded to wait for the coming 2nd grade class They were Pat and M1ke Phelan Fourth grade they COl1ldI1't stop us now Miss Ester Sampson tackled the Job of teaching us this year Allen Sanders and Glenda Strum decided they d1dn't like Burg and left Ronald Boy1ngton Jomed us along w1th Amta Fmcham to make up for the loss of Allan and Glenda F1fth grade, and back to country school for Amta Roberta Cochran moved during the year and Richard Handsaker left at the end of the year M1ss Hllda Johnston of Zear1ng was the teacher our teacher Amta F1ncha.m dec1ded Burg school was the best and Joined us for good Ronald Boy1ngton dec1ded to try Colo school and left but Gerald Bogan filled the space mak1ng our class a total of sixteen puplls On our upward climb we were met at the seventh grade room by our teacher Mrs Chfford Amdahl Our year wasn'ttoo busy because Gerald Bogan was the only one who left us Eighth grade Tlus year we had the honor of be1ng ln the new Jr High room We had two teachers to tackle the Job of teaching us tlns year They were Mrs Clifford Amdahl and Mr Cl1fford Chnstensen Tlus was a very quiet year for no one came and no one left Next came the most important years of our l1V6S7 Hlgh School' After eight years of schooling we thought ourselves qmute qualified to take our places 1n high school We green freshmen were truly members of lugh school after 1n1t1at1on At our f1rst class meeting we elected the follow1ng officers President Ernest Lehman, V1ce President Valerie Olson Secretary Manlyn Fincham Treasurer Larry Lee Our sponsor was Mr Poulter Sophisticated sophomores, we're half way through Mr S1lzer was our sponsor Our class officers tlus year were President, Janet Schwartz Vice President Ernest Lelunan, Secretary Amta Fmcham, Treasurer, Ruberta Arnold Our Junior year was a b1g one We started the year off by g1v1ng the play Grandad Steps Out wluch was a b1g success We also gave the Sen1ors a wonderful banquet 1n the lunch room Our theme was Stairway to the Stars Janet Schwartz was married during the summer so d1dn't Join us tlus year o . . , . . . . . . . , I . . , I 7 7 D 9 7 1 ! . . 7 . l 9 D J Being privileged characters, we moved upstairs to have sixth grade with Miss Mary Tabor as . f l y .
