Dave Kirk and Dave Watkins qualified to repre- sent the P.N.S.A. at Jr. Nationals. This year ten high school students traveled to Bogus Basin to represent the McCall -Donnelly Vandals at a ski meet. They competed with other school teams from all over the state of Idaho. All members finished in the top ten in the events they entered. They captured second place in the meet only six points out of first. Joe Dorris skiing in the cross coimtry at Jr. Nationals. Named at the U.S. Ski Association annual con- vention in San Francisco as the 1970 winner of the USSA Sally Deaver Award for her perfor- mance in slalom is Patty Boydstun. Skiers See Successful Season The 1969-'70 ski season proved to be very successful for all, the team brought home many honors for the year. Patty Boydstun was chosen to spend most of the winter in Europe skiing with the United States National A-team. She did very well there, especially in slalom. Returning, she took first place in slalom at the Senior National. Qualifying to represent the Pacific Northwest in the Junior Nationals at Park City West, Utah this year were Dave Watkins and Dave Kirk. Joe Dorris traveled to Jackson Hole, Wyoming with the Pacific Northwest ski team to compete in the Nordic events of the Junior Nationals. Linda and Mike Dorris were selected to represent Idaho in the Western States Meet.

Medley Team To Regional FIRST ROW: Ray Hamell, Sandy Rhodes, John Coski, Nathan Neisinger, Mike Dorris , Dave Kirk, Keith Thompson, Tom Evans, Joe Dorris, Dana Seydel, Manager Jesse Maine. SECOND ROW: Mo Johnson, Rocky Widner, Rich Nesbitt, Bill Florence, Dave Watkins, Mike Graham, Jim Rigenhagen, Dave McGinness, Steve Loomis, Dan Cochran, Coach Dan Cantrell. Coskz' Second In State Track season for the MD Vandals was highlighted by the Cascade and Cambridge track meets . The trackmen took first at Cascade and second at Cambridge. The track team also participated in the Riggins Invitational and Subdistrict at Middleton. Members placing in the top three went on to District held in Weiser where it was necessary to place in the top two places in order to qualify for Re- gional . The Medley relay team of Sandy Rhodes, Joe Dorris, Tom Evans and Nathan Neisinger attended the Regional meet to represent McCall, This relay team tied for fourth place, John Coski also went to Regional and on to the State contest. John set a new meet record at Regional and took second at State going 13'4 .
