Dan Donica wraps his opponent in a figure four Vandal Fans watch as John Bruce throws his man into a pinning position. This year the Vandal wrestling team was short on men, but not on individual wins, Due to a 20 point forfeit score the team had to give its opponents each time , the win -loss record doesn't accurately represent the win- ning records that the inidividual wrestlers earned. Without this handicap the wrestlers would have chalked up almost all victories, Three members placed at the district tournament in Parma. They were: Mike Butler, 2ndg Dan Donica, 3rdg and Dale Eld, 4th, Butler's win and Donica's win earned them the right to go to the state tournament in Twin Falls. Mike Butler proved his skill coming home as state runner -up. Although the team loses three seniors this year, there are six experienced wrestlers returning. Prospects look promising for another fine team of wrestlers next year. Dave Barkell chalks up a win with a pin.
