STANDING: Dale Bollar, Dick Remaklus, Ed Heacock, Dan Donica, Tim Knowles, Kim Helmich, Coach Kirk Dahlke. N Experienced Team Takes Honors' At Kszmiab Beginning and ending the season strong, the Vandal wrestling team captured lst in the Kamiah tournament adding another Victory award to the trophy case. The team also sent five wrestlers to the state tournament. They placed 4th as a team, while Da.n Kantola took lst, Floyd Loomis 2nd, and Gary Kantola 4th, Also going to state were Lynn Dowty and Wes Cornwell. Although the three who placed in the state tournament will be graduating, next year's team will return with the same school pride that took this year's team so far, Mike Butler executes a sit-through Another pin for Gary?

Skiers Earn National Recognition SITTING: Dana Seydel, George Dorris, Tom Zachary, Dave Kirk, Dave Watkins. KNEELING: Joe Dorris, Pat Boydstun, Linda Dorris, Ron Watkins, Gay Johnson. Once again members of the ski team did a fine job of representing the school and community. All placed well in the races of the season. Patty Boydstun spent much of the Winter racing for the United States Ski Team. George Dorris and Tom Zachary qualified to represent the Pacific Northwest in the Alpine events at the Junior National Champion- ships at Mt. Alyeska, Alaska, and Joe Dorris was selected to compete in Alaska on the Nordic team. Joe was the highest finisher for the Northwest in the events he entered. . Winding up the season, George traveled to Reno, Nevada to compete in the Western States Championships as one of the five racers repre- senting Idaho. Since year-round conditioning is important for good racers, next year's team will start pre-season training with soccer games this sum mer. Patty will be attending several training camps this summer where work on technique and conditioning will .be stressed. I Dana and Gay race for the ball.
