One of the main projects of the Science Club this year was the selling of chemically treated pine cones These pine cones when burned produced an array of colors Another of the Club's projects was the purchase of two armadillos Throughout the year the students gained knowledge from various speakers. One of the speakers Mr Leroy Whitman of the U.S. Forest Service spoke about clear-cut logging Science Club sponsored the Science Fair at McCall in April in which students of McCall Donnelly and surroundmg schools displayed their projects This fair brought a large crowd of science minded observers RIGHT: Mr. Walter Them, Club advisor bobbed for an apple at the annual Science Club sponsored Halloween dance. In addition to the dance, the event featured a spook house, costiune judging, and an ice cream eating contest.

Drill Team Particioa tex' In Sta te Competition Twenty-eight girls and four alternates performed in this year's drill team. Captain Jan Albright traveled to Portland, Oregon during the summer to Drill Rou- tine Camp on the Lewis and Clark campus, Through the ideas Jan gained at camp, the drill team perform- ed numerous routines throughout the year, adding ex- citement to half-time activities during football and basketball seasons, The team traveled to Caldwell to perform during half-time of the Vandal Vs. Wilder Wildcat game in the District A-3 Tournament, Cooked food sales raised money for the members to attend Drill Team competition in Boise. Three drum- mers from Parma High School accompanied the girls and added to their success at competition, In March the drill team joined with the Pep Club to sponsor a Twirp Dance.
