I . 1 ft their fi of rst routine during Homecoming half time. Enthusiastically leading the band at the University Idaho's Homecoming was the beginning of an ex- citing year for the Majorettes. These girls consist of a talented group of baton twirlers who are chosen from the Vandalettes. The Majorettes lead the band in the parade at the annual Lewiston Music Festival. VANDALFTTF5' Brightly colored pom-poms, crisp new uniforms, and ex- uberant spirits, announced the arrival of an enlarged and altered Drill Team. The Vandalettes featured a change-over from baton-twirling to formation marching and dance-step routines. The membership was also enlarged to twenty-one girls, each of whom must be able to perform marching basics. The purpose of Vandalettes is to provide half-time enter- tainment for sports spectators at home games. Climaxing the basketball season the Vandalettes traveled to Wilder showing their support for the Vandals with an excellent half- time performance.
