Baseball As the signs of spring appear, McBurney's baseball team is looking forward to a great season. Under the tutelage of Coach Edson Scudder everyone is expecting the team to have one of the finest records in McBurney history. The team has many veterans returning this year which explains the optimism. lnfielders Ted Simon, Doug McCartney, Ken Fielder, and Ted Daniels, outfielders Will Caterson, Dave Mills, and lohn Sloss, and pitcher Fred Pivko are returning this year. Leading the scorers with 183 points was Captain Barton Solomon while Richard Ader took runner-up honors with l6l points and was, in addition, the club's leading rebounder. Forward Alan lacobs almost reached the magic lOO-point figure and had big days against Englewood and Kew Forest. Bounding out the starting five were Marvin Baron and Robert Klein, both of whom scored steadily and were de- fensive stalwarts.
